NGFC Membership is a privilege not a right. Therefore in order to maximize the overall fencing experience and to ensure the safety and comfort for all of our NGFC club members, their families and guests as well as keep NGFC a family friendly atmosphere, the following rules and code of conduct have been established and must be obeyed by all members at all times while on or near the premises of the North Georgia Fencing Center. Failure to follow these rules may result in disciplinary action which may include temporary or permanent expulsion from the NGFC.

1. NGFC Club members should refrain from running, horseplay, or causing mayhem while visiting the club.

2. NGFC Club members will treat their fellow NGFC members and with kindness, dignity and mutual respect and should refrain from touching, poking, jabbing, kicking, pinching, pushing, punching, shoving, biting, assaulting or otherwise harassing other club members and guests at all times.

3. NGFC Club members will not argue, verbally assault, harass, intimidate or do anything that might offend or cause harm to any other NGFC member or guest at any time.

4. As NGFC has members from many diverse cultural and religious backgrounds, crude, lewd, racial comments or otherwise offensive language or gestures should not be spoken or used at anytime while on the premises of NGFC.

5. NGFC Fencers should use caution at all times while fencing or carrying their weapons at or around the fencing club and should remain constantly aware of their surroundings which includes before, during, and after fencing bouts. Fencers should also immediately stop fencing if anyone is in too close proximity if they are unable to fence properly as well as if any bystanders are nearby.

6. NGFC Club members who are not fencing will not pester, taunt, or otherwise distract or disrupt those who are fencing. There will be no talking between fencers who are on and off the strip.

7. NGFC Club members who are not fencing at the time should not stand between or around the fencing strips during fencing bouts for any reason. Fencers should also remain as far as possible from the ends of the fencing strips while resting between bouts.

8. NGFC will not tolerate wild, viloent, or vicious fencing. Those who do not confine themselves to fencing like well behaved, considerate, Ladies and Gentlemen will be aksed to leave the strip immediately and may be expelled from NGFC alltogther at the coaching staffs discretion.

9. NGFC Fencers (which includes anyone who may have been) involved in an accident or incident or any other dangerous situation (whether anyone is injured or not) should immediately report the situation or impending disaster to Coach Di Maggio or a nearby adult.

10. NGFC Club Members should not involve themselves or others in gossip, rumor, hearsay or other personal business that involves any other club member, parent, guest or coaching staff or NGFC.

11. NGFC club members should always demonstrate an attitude of good sportsmanship by their words and actions and should take both winning and loosing as well as praise and criticism in a humble and gracious manner befitting a well mannered fencer. Club members should also avoid accusing, arguing, complaining, bickering, or bragging at all times while at the club.

12. All club members shall respect the property of others as well as the property of the North Georgia Fencing Center and will not touch, take, or borrow, deface, vandalize, or otherwise destroy property belonging to others.

COACH DIMAGGIO’S SUPER DUPER GOLDEN RULE OF RULES

14. While you are at, in, around, or near the North Georgia Fencing Center you should not do or say anything to anyone else that you wouldn’t do or say in front of your parents, or Coach Di Maggio.
